This project can be achieved by employing the facilities and equipments located at the different research buildings where the different groups are currently performing their work. The research centres involved in this programme (Centro Nacional de Biotecnología, Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Oncológicas, Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Cardiovasculares y Hospital Universitario Puerta de Hierro) maintain a variety of core facilities and service functions to support the research activities of this project, including:

Procaryotic cell culture.

Eucaryotic cell culture.

Biochemistry of recombinant proteins (antibodies and target proteins).

Sequencing and cytometry core facilities.

Microscopy and Animal facilities.

The molecular characterization of the protein-ligand interactions will be performed at the Centro Nacional de Biotecnología and Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Oncológicas, by employing the BIAcore AB protein ligand assays.

The analyses of the ìn vitro' and 'in vivo' effects of the selected recombinant antibodies in tumoral angiogenesis will be carried out at the Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Oncológicas and Hospital Universitario Puerta de Hierro. Both laboratories are provided with high sensitive equipments for imaging both fluorescent and bioluminescent reporters 'in vitro' and 'in vivo'.

Most of this funding will be employed to recruit postdoctoral personnel to join this programme. They will be carefully selected based on their research skills and fit in each research lab to perform the experiments needed to accomplish this project.

This programme will not offer new services. The research groups have access to all the core facilities and large equipments located at the research centres involved in this project. The facilities are funded by their own institution and most of the equipments are maintained by their corresponding biotech company through an official contract.

Each research group will supervise the use by other programme members of the services and equipments located at their own research centre. These collaborations will be discussed and assisted by the management committee that will cover their costs with the programme budget.
